O R D E R

The respondent initiated proceedings against the petitioner before the Sub Court, Poonamallee, praying for a decree of divorce.

The petitioner has come up with this Transfer Civil Miscellaneous Petition for withdrawal of the proceedings pending before the Sub Court at Poonamallee and to transfer it to the Family Court at Chennai.

The learned counsel for the respondent fairly submitted that the respondent has no objection in transferring the proceedings to a Court at Chennai.

The petitioner is a permanent resident of Chennai. The respondent initiated proceedings before the Sub Court at Poonamallee. According to the petitioner, being a resident of Royapettah at Chennai, it would not be possible for her to appear before the Sub Court, Poonamallee, for the purpose of https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

defending the proceedings in H.M.O.P.No. 345 of 2015. 5.

In view of the reasons found mentioned in the affidavit filed in support of the Transfer Petition and no objection given by the respondent, the proceedings in H.M.O.P.No. 345 of 2015 is withdrawn from the file of Sub Court, Poonamallee and is transferred to the file of Principal Family Court at Chennai.

6. The learned trial Judge is requested to dispose of the proceedings as expeditiously as possible.

The Transfer Civil Miscellaneous Petition is allowed as indicated above. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
