ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition seeking a direction to the respondent to file a final report in Crime No.5 of 2013 before the respondent at the earliest.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

3. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor has submitted that investigation in Crime No.5 of 2013 has been completed and the final report was filed before the Judicial Magistrate (Special Court for Land Grabbing Cases), Salem, on 11.11.2014, and the same has been returned to the Police on the ground that the Supreme Court has stayed all further proceedings before the said Court.

4. In view of the above, the respondent-Police is directed to resubmit the final report before the jurisdictional Court, i.e, Judicial Magistrate Court No.II, Salem, within four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is closed. 10.08.2016 ds
