ORDER

(This case has been heard through video conference) This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking for a direction, directing the respondent police to take necessary action to conduct the enquiry and to file a final report before the appropriate Court within the time stipulated by this Court.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that though the respondent police has registered a case in Crime No.508 of 2019 for the offence punishable u/s.294(b), 323, 324 IPC and Section 4 of Indecent Representation of Women Act, 1986, till date no final report has been filed by them. Accordingly seeks for an appropriate direction. 3.Mr.A.Damodaran, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent Police would submit that the respondent police may be permitted to file a final report within a period of three months.

4.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side).

5. In view of the above, the respondent police is hereby directed to either file a final report or closure report, as the case may be, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order under due intimation to the defacto complainant.

6.With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
