Order This writ petition has been filed to direct respondents 1 to 3 to issue patta in favour of the petitioner for the property, morefully described in the affidavit filed in support of this writ petition, based on the petitioner's representation dated 17.03.2026, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 2.Mr.S.Arumugam, learned Government Advocate accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. At the outset, he would submit that the petitioner will have to submit an online application to enable the second respondent to consider the petitioner's request for grant of patta.
3.Learned counsel for the petitioner, on instructions, would submit that the petitioner is willing to submit a fresh online application with the second respondent for issuance of patta.
4.No prejudice would be caused to the second respondent if a direction is issued to the second respondent to dispose of the said online application, after giving due consideration to the supporting documents produced by the petitioner and after hearing all the necessary parties, which include the neighbouring land owners, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
5.This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's application.
6.For the foregoing reasons, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the petitioner to submit a fresh online application with the second respondent seeking for issuance of patta in the name of the petitioner in respect of the property, morefully disclosed in the prayer to this writ petition, within a period of 2 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of the said online application within the stipulated time, the second respondent shall pass final orders, on merits and in accordance with law on the said application seeking for issuance of patta in the name of the petitioner, after giving due consideration to the supporting documents produced by the petitioner and after hearing all the necessary parties, which include the neighbouring land owners, within a period of 12 weeks thereafter.
