ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the Human Rights and Social Justice C.I.D, which is under the control of the second respondent, to investigate the petitioner's complaint dated 30.07.2020 and to initiate appropriate prosecution against the respondents 6 to 9 and other police personnel who are alleged to have illegally detained and brutally attacked the petitioner. The petitioner has also sought a direction to the first respondent to pay compensation of Rs.10,00,000/- for the atrocities committed by its officials against him and also directing the respondents 1 to 5 to take appropriate departmental action against the respondents 6 to 9. 2.
Heard Mr.M.Selvam, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, Mr.R.Ganesh Kumar, learned counsel for Government of Tamil Nadu (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondents 1 to 5 and Mr.S.Sasikumar, learned counsel appearing for the respondents 6 to 9. Perused the materials available on record. 3.
Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the writ petition, the fourth respondent is directed to conduct an enquiry on the representation submitted by the petitioner, after issuing notice to the respondents 6 to 9 herein and after giving an opportunity of hearing to them, and dispose of the same on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
