This case came up for settlement before the Lok Adalat. Mr.M.Chidambaram, learned counsel appeared for the petitioner. After mutual discussion and negotiation between both the parties arrived at a compromise to settle the matter as follows:
TERMS OF SETTLEMENT Both sides present.
2. The writ petition has been filed as against the order of the Special Deputy Commissioner of Labour rejecting to approve the dismissal order passed against the workman. Pending writ petition, both the parties have amicably resolved the issue, whereby the Management has agreed to reinstate the workman and the workman has agreed to forego the back wages. A joint memo of compromise has been filed to that effect.
3. The writ petition shall stand disposed of in terms of the joint compromise memo and the joint compromise memo shall form part of the order in the writ petition. Connected miscellaneous petition/s, if any, is/are closed.
