O R D E R

[Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] Alleging non-compliance of the order dated 16.02.2021 passed by this Court in W.P.No.3180 of 2021, the writ petitioner has filed this contempt petition.

2. Heard Mr.V.M.Venkataramana, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.S.John J Raja Singh, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the 1st respondent.

3. Today, Mr.S.Rajan, Tahsildar, Thiruporur Taluk, is present before this Court and filed a compliance report dated 07.03.2022, along with photographs showing that the order of this Court dated 16.10.2021, passed in W.P.No.3180 of 2021, has been duly complied with and the encroachments have been removed. It may be pertinent to extract paragraph 6 of the compliance report, wherein, it is stated as follows : "6. It is most humbly submitted that ultimately the property of the 5th respondent in the land in S.No.33/10 classified as kulamporamboke was evicted by this respondent on 25.02.2022 by demolishing the building and thereby the direction made by the Hon'ble Court on 16.02.2021 in W.P.No.882 of 2021 has been duly complied with by this respondent."

4. However, Mr.V.M.Venkataramana, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that after demolition, the debris still remains. 2/3

The fact remains that the Revenue Authorities have substantially complied with the direction of this Court and therefore, nothing survives in this petition and accordingly, this contempt petition stands closed. However, we direct the Tahsildar, Thiruporur Taluk to ensure that the debris also shall be removed within a period of four weeks from today, with the help of the Block Development Officer, Thiruporur.
