The petitioners have filed the above Writ Petition to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 5 to exclude the road i.e. Kalaignar Karunanidhi Cross Street from the lands in Survey Nos. 707/3 transferred to the 5th respondent and consequently permit them right of way and access to their properties situated in Survey Nos. 196, 197 and 232 at Sholinganallur Village, Sholinganallur Taluk, Kancheepuram District.
2. When the matter is taken up for hearing, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners as well as Mr.R.Rajeswaran, learned Special Government Pleader, appearing for the respondents 1, 3 and 4 submitted that the 1st respondent has already passed a Government Order in G.O.(Ms) No.245, Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Land Disposal Wing, LD.4(1) Section, dated 03.08.2017, excluding the area measuring an extent of 0.76.0 hectares for utilisation as road.
3. The learned counsel on either side submitted that in view of the Government Order passed by the 1st respondent, nothing survives for adjudication in this writ petition.
4. Recording the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, the writ petition stands closed. No costs. Connected miscellaneous petition is also closed.
