Ms.C.Meera Arumugam,AGP Order This writ petition has been filed seeking for an early disposal of the petitioner's application dated 30.01.2026 filed under Section 23 of the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, which is pending on the file of the respondent.

2.Ms.C.Meera Arumugam, learned Additional Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of the respondent.

3.The petitioner is a Senior citizen. She had filed the aforesaid application against one Paramaguru, son of the petitioner, which is pending on the file of the respondent.

4.No prejudice would be caused to any of the parties if a direction is issued to the respondent to dispose of the petitioner's application dated 30.01.2026, filed under the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, which is pending on the file of the respondent, on merits and in accordance with law, by adhering to the principles of natural justice, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

5.This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's application.

6.For the foregoing reasons, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondent to pass final orders, on merits and in accordance with law on the petitioner's application dated 30.01.2026 filed under the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act against one Paramaguru, by

adhering to the principles of natural justice, within a period of 4 months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
