O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents 1 to 3 to provide adequate police protection to enable the petitioner to survey and fence the petitioner's property.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.

3. The petitioner owned property comprised in Old Survey No.166/8, New Survey No.117/7, 126/3B & 4B admeasuring 55.57 cents situated at Abatharanapuram Village, Vadalur, Kurinchipadi Taluk, Cuddalore District. The petitioner derived title over the property by a registered sale deed dated 14.12.1989 vide document No.2103 of 1989. In fact, the petitioner was issued patta as directed by this Court in W.P.No.30948 of 2024. After obtaining the patta, the petitioner intended to fence the property after surveying the same. Accordingly, the petitioner submitted an application and also paid a requisite fee for surveying the property.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the second respondent is directed to provide police protection to the surveyor during the survey of the property and while the petitioner proceeds to fence the property. Such protection shall be provided within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition stands allowed.
