ORDER

This petition has been filed to extend the time for depositing 10% of the compensation amount as directed by this Court vide order dated 09.02.2026 in Crl.O.P.No.2764 of 2026.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that this Court by order dated 09.02.2026 in Crl.O.P.No.2764 of 2026, directed the petitioner to deposit 10% of the compensation amount before the Trial Court within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of that order. He further submitted that the petitioner is a senior citizen suffering from age related ailments and therefore, she is not in a position to mobilize funds. Hence, she has filed this petition seeking extension of time for depositing 10% of the compensation amount.

3.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court is inclined to grant two weeks time to the petitioner to deposit 10% of the compensation amount. 4.Accordingly, this Criminal Miscellaneous Petition is ordered and the petitioner is directed to deposit 10% of the compensation amount before XXV Metropolitan Magistrate Court, Egmore, Chennai, within a period of two (2) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 08-06-2026 krk 2 / 4
