This Criminal Original Petition is filed seeking a direction to the respondent-Police not to harass the petitioner under the guise of enquiry. 1/4

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that originally one C.Selvaraj had given a complaint against the petitioner before the Inspector of Police, Gingee on 15.10.2024. After conducting enquiry, the Inspector of Police, Gingee, closed the complaint, since the dispute between the parties is purely civil in nature. Instead of approaching the Civil Court, the said C.Selvaraj filed the present complaint through his wife viz., Poongodi, before the respondent-police for the very same allegations against the petitioner.

Learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent-Police, on instructions, submitted that since the dispute between the parties is civil in nature, the respondent-Police after conducting enquiry closed the present complaint and hence, there is no harassment as alleged by the petitioner. He further submitted that as on date there is no complaint or enquiry or investigation pending against the petitioner.

4. In view of the above submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side), the Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
