ORDER
Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner. None appears on behalf of the respondent inspite of printing his name in the cause list, after service.
2. The respondent initiated proceedings in IDOP.No.50 of 2015 before the Principal District Court, Pudukkottai against the petitioner praying for a decree of dissolution of marriage.
3. The petitioner on receipt of summons, filed this petition for transfer.
4. It is the case of the petitioner that she is a permanent resident of Nagapattinam and as such, it would not be possible for her to travel about 140 kms to Pudukkottai and prosecute the proceedings.
5. There is nothing on record to disbelieve the case pleaded by the petitioner in her transfer petition. I am therefore of the view that the matter requires transfer. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
6. The proceedings in IDOP. No.50 of 2015 is withdrawn from the file of Principal District Court, Pudukkottai and is transferred to the file of Principal District Court, Nagapattinam, for disposal on merits.
The transfer petition is allowed as indicated above. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
