post and same was delivered on 27.10.2023 and to pay the compensation amount of Rs.73,660.61 (Rupees Seventy Three Thousand Six Hundred and Sixty and Sixty One Paise Only) along with interest under section 34 of the Land Acquisition Act and for reference under section 18 Land Acquisition Act pertaining to the lands in Survey No.139 /1, measuring 0.29.5 hectares at 16 Karunakarachari Village, Poonamallee Taluk, Thiruvallur District. ORDER
This writ petition is filed for a direction to the second respondent to dispose of the petitioners' representation dated 25.10.2023 sent by registered post and same was delivered on 27.10.2023 and to pay the compensation amount of Rs.73,660.61 along with interest under section 34 of the Land Acquisition Act and for reference under section 18 Land Acquisition Act pertaining to the lands in Survey No.139 /1, measuring 0.29.5 hectares at 16 Karunakarachari Village, Poonamallee Taluk, Thiruvallur District. 2.By consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal in the admission stage itself.
3.It is the case of the petitioners that the amount of compensation has 2/4
been deposited in Revenue deposit and in this regard, the petitioners have given a representation dated 25.10.2023 requesting that the said amount to be paid to them with interest. However, the representation of the petitioners was not considered. Hence this writ petition.
4.The learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the respondents would submit that the representation of the petitioners will be considered and orders will be passed on merits. 5.Considering the limited relief sought for in this writ petition, the second respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioners and pass orders on merits within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
