This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking writ of mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 5 to sanction and disburse the family pension to the 1st petitioner for the death of the deceased husband S.Amirtham who died on 13.07.2009 based on the petitioner's representation dated 23.05.2024 along with arrears and interest within a stipulated time.

Order This writ petition is filed for the following relief: "To direct the respondents 1 to 5 to sanction and disburse the family pension to the 1st petitioner for the death of the deceased husband S.Amirtham who died on 13.07.2009 based on the petitioner's representation dated 23.05.2024 along with arrears and interest."

2. The 1st petitioner would submit that her husband was working as a Secondary Grade Teacher in the 6th respondent school and had died on 13.07.2009. The 2nd petitioner is their daughter. The grievance of the 1st petitioner is that family pension has not been sanctioned, therefore, she made a representation dated 23.05.2024, requesting to sanction family pension to her. Aggrieved by the inaction on the part of the respondents, the petitioners are before this Court.

3. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the fact that the petitioners' representation dated 23.05.2024 has not been considered to date, a direction is issued to respondents 1 to 5 to consider the petitioners' representation and pass orders on merits and in accordance

with law, within a period of 4 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
