O R D E R

The present criminal original petition has been filed seeking direction to the second respondent to register the petitioner's complaint dated 25.09.2015 received by the first respondent and forwarded to the second respondent.

2. The petitioner is the Project Manager of the A.P.R. Project Pvt Ltd., Ariyalur U.G.S.S. Project. He lodged a complaint against the unknown persons with regard to the missing of article viz., heavy electric wire worth about Rs.60,000/- from the premises of the company. Though the said complaint was given on 25.09.2015, till date no action was taken. Hence, the present criminal original petition has been filed.

3. I have heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the complaint was sent only by post and if a direction is given to the petitioner to give a fresh complaint, necessary action will be taken.

5. In view of the submissions made on either side, this Court directs the petitioner to give a fresh complaint to the 2nd respondent within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, and on receipt of the same, the second respondent is directed to conduct enquiry and upon enquiry, if materials are gathered indicating commission of any cognizable offence, he is directed to proceed further in accordance with law, as early as possible.
