None appears for the the petitioner. This writ petition has been filed to direct the third respondent Village Panchayat to make an assessment and collect house tax from the petitioner in respect of his house at Adayalacherri Village, Lathur Block, Cheyyur Taluk, Kancheepuram District.

2. The writ petition was admitted by the Court on 08.03.2012, after which, it has come up only in the year 2018. There is no interim relief sought for by the petitioner. Thus by efflux of time, it would be unnecessary to keep this petition pending any longer and the same stands disposed of by giving liberty to the petitioner to approach the authorities, if still the house owned by the petitioner has not been assessed to property tax.
