This petition has been filed seeking condonation of delay of 629 days in filing the appeal.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner, a foreign national, has been incarcerated since the date of judgment i.e., 15.03.2024 in C.C.No.101 of 2018, on the file of the I Additional Special Court for Exclusive trial of cases under NDPS Act, Chennai. Due to lack of legal guidance, the petitioner was unable to file the appeal within the prescribed time. Hence, he prayed to condone the delay in filing the appeal.

Mr.N.P.Kumar, learned Special Public Prosecutor, entered appearance for the respondent and expressed his objection for condoning the delay. 4.

The reasons adduced in the affidavit filed in support of this petition being satisfactory, this Criminal Miscellaneous Petition is ordered and consequently, the delay of 629 days in filing the appeal is condoned. 15.04.2026 ham Note: Registry is directed to number the Criminal Appeal, if it is, otherwise, in order and list the same for admission in due course.
