ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for a Writ of Mandamus, to direct respondents to allow the petitioner to attend the classes and appear in all the remaining semester examinations in pursuant to the representation dated 16.12.2022.

2. In view of the order being passed, this Court is of the view that the respondents needs no notice and notice to the respondents is dispensed with.

3. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner is studying third year B.E. Artificial Intelligence at SRM Institute of Science and Technology. While so, the respondents barred the petitioner from appearing in examinations from fifth semester onwards due to the pendency of the criminal case pending against him. Hence, the petitioner made several representations before the respondents requesting to allow him to appear in the semester examinations and the final representation was made on 16.12.2022. Since the representations were not considered by the respondents, the above writ petition is filed before this Court. Page No.2 of 4

Though very many grounds have been raised in the present writ petition, the learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that, it would suffice, if this Court issues a direction to the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 16.12.2022 and paas appropriate orders, within a time frame that may be fixed by this Court.

5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court without going into the merits of the case, directs the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 16.12.2022 on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders within a period of two (2) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner.

6. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
