The petitioners are named accused in the complaint in the complaint registered in Cr.No.223 of 2023 dated 17.08.2023 for the offence under Sections 4(2)(c), 3(1), 5(1)(d) of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act 1956. However, the present petition is filed seeking direction to the respondent police not to harass them in an unknown Crime Number under the guise of investigation.

2. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police states that based on the complaint given by one Bharathi Raja stating that he enticed and canvassed to have sex with ladies for money. That complaint been registered and under investigation. To prevent action, the present petition is filed as if the police is harassing them. He further states that since one of the accused has filed the petition to quash the said F.I.R, the final report not yet filed. He further states that except the case in Cr.No.223 of 2023 which is pending investigation, there is no other complaint against these petitioners and there is no reasons to harass them. 2/4

3. Recording the same, this Criminal Original petition is disposed of directing the respondent police to complete the investigation in Cr.No.223 of 2023 and file final report at the earliest and if the presence of the petitioners are necessary for any enquiry they can be called only on causing notice to them.
