ORDER

The petitioner / landlord challenging the order passed in M.P.No.5 of 2024 which has been allowed by the Rent Court on cost of Rs.2,000/-to be paid by the respondent tenant, filed the present Revision.

2. M.P.No.5 of 2024 has been filed by the Respondent / tenant against the exparte order, dated 17.10.2024 passed by the Rent Court in M.P.No.4 of 2024 in R.L.T.O.P.No.41 of 2021 which has been filed by the petitioner / 1/4

landlord seeking amendment of the petition by inclusion of nativity address of the tenant. In the said M.P.No.4 of 2024, the respondent/tenant was set exparte and the same is posted for orders. In the meanwhile, M.P.No.5 of 2024 came to be filed and in the said application, the Rent Court has thought it fit to give an opportunity to the respondent /tenant and allowed the same on payment of cost of Rs.2,000/- to be paid by the respondent / tenant.

3. The learned counsel for the respondent /tenant state that M.P.No.4 of 2024 is still pending and the tenant may be given an opportunity to contest the same.

4. I do not find any infirmity in the order passed by the Rent Court in M.P.No.5 of 2024. However, considering the fact that M.P.No.4 of 2024 has not been disposed of till date, a direction is issued to the Principal District Munsif, Alandur to dispose of M.P.No.4 of 2024 within a period of 10 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and thereafter the main RLTOP No.41 of 2021 shall be disposed of on or before 26.09.2025. 2/4
