O R D E R

The present criminal original petition has been filed seeking direction to the respondent to register a case on the basis of the complaint of the petitioner dated 06.10.2015.

2. The petitioner is a handicapped lady and her first husband died and she is working as a Tailor in Tiruppur Banyan Company. The petitioner has developed friendship with her co-worker one Selvam and he has promised to marry the petitioner and the marriage between the petitioner and the said Selvam was also solemnized on 30.01.2012 at Vinayagar Temple, Eswaran Koivil, Tiruppur in the presence of their friends and co-workers. Thereafter, the petitioner's husband and his parents harassed the petitioner demanding dowry. Now, they are making arrangements for second marriage, when the earlier marriage is in existence. Hence, the petitioner lodged complaint on 06.10.2015 before the second respondent and till date, no action was taken. 3. I have heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.

4. In view of the submissions made on either side, this Court directs the second respondent to conduct enquiry on the complaint given by the petitioner dated 06.10.2015 and upon enquiry, if materials are gathered indicating commission of any cognizable offence, he is directed to proceed further in accordance with law, as early as possible.
