O R D E R

The present criminal original petition has been filed to direct the second respondent not to harass the petitioner in pursuant to representation dated 28.09.2015 on the file of the first respondent, the Superintendent of Police, Office of the Superintendent of Police, Thiruvallur District except due process of law.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the respondent police is frequently calling the petitioner under the guise of enquiry in respect of the complaint lodged https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

against her son. So far as this petitioner is concerned, she is no way connected with any offence. Thus, she sought for a direction to the second respondent not to harass her.

3. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that totally 32 persons have lodged complaint as against the son of the petitioner, namely, V.Vellapandyan stating that the said Vellapandyan was running a business concern, namely, M/s.Eswari Motors. He collected amount from 32 persons and cheated them. Now, his whereabouts were not known. Hence, for the purpose of enquiry, the petitioner was called for by the respondents. Absolutely, there is no intention on the part of the respondents to harass the petitioner.

4. Recording the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, I am of the opinion that there is no need to give any specific direction to the respondent police. Hence, the present criminal original petition is closed.
