The present criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent-police to file the charge sheet in Crime No.143 of 2014 within the time stipulated by this Court.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that one Raji, who is the son of the petitioner lodged a complaint before the respondent police against one Raja and Devarajan for the alleged offence punishable under Sections 294(b) and 307 IPC and the same was registered in Crime No.143 of 2014 on 07.08.2014. But, till date no action was taken by the respondent police. Hence, the petitioner has come up with the present petition. 3.I have heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

4.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the respondent-police is directed to investigate the case in Crime No.143 of 2014 pending on his file and file a final report as expeditiously as possible. The Criminal Original Petition is ordered accordingly.
