ORDER
By consent of learned counsel on both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
2. The present writ petition is filed praying for a writ of mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to transfer and issue patta in the petitioner's name in respect of lands comprised in Survey Nos.149/1 and 149/3A situated at Kottametupatti Village, Omalur Taluk, Salem District.

It is submitted by the learned counsel for petitioner that the petitioner purchased the lands comprised in Survey Nos.149/1 and 149/3A by way of a registered sale deed dated 09.07.2008 in Doc.No.5657 of 2008, on the file of Sub-Registrar, Omalur. The petitioner has submitted a representation on 10.03.2025 seeking transfer of patta in petitioner's name, however the same has not been considered by the respondent. Aggrieved by the same, petitioner has come before this Court.
4. At the outset, Mr.P.Sathish, learned Additional Government Pleader for respondents would submit that the petitioner may have to submit an online application for transfer and issuance of patta. He would further submit that if any 2/4
online application is taken out in the appropriate manner /prescribed format and after paying appropriate fees, the same would be considered and orders passed in accordance with law within the time frame fixed by this Court, which was agreed to by the learned counsel for petitioner.

In view thereof, the writ petition stands disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to take out an online application for transfer of patta in appropriate manner in prescribed format and on payment of appropriate fees. If any such application is filed by the petitioner, the concerned respondent shall consider and dispose of the same in accordance after affording reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and any other interested party, within a period of 8 weeks from the date of filing of such application by the petitioner. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any views with regard to the merits of the matter and it is open to the concerned respondent to consider the application on its own merits and in accordance with law.
