O R D E R

(Order of the Court was made by HULUVADI G. RAMESH,J.) This writ petition is filed praying to issue a writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records of the second respondent with No.1515/TOV/A2/Certificates/2016-17 dated 30.05.2016 and to quash the same and consequently to direct the respondents to issue Scheduled Caste of Puducherry Certificate to the petitioner.

2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader (Pondicherry) for the respondents 1 and 2.

3.In the accompanying affidavit of the writ petition, it is averred that the petitioner being a member of Scheduled Caste of Puducherry, is entitled to get admission to professional courses through the selection process conducted through Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC), namely, the third respondent herein and it was specifically provided in the Notification that the candidates should submit the Community Certificate, Residence Certificate, Nationality Certificate, etc., along with the application form. Hence, the petitioner has submitted an application before the second respondent on 08.03.2016 for issuance of community certificate, but, the same is still pending. In the meantime, since the CENTAC has issued notification calling for application for various professional courses, the petitioner filed a petition before the second respondent for issuance of community certificate but the said claim was rejected by the second respondent by order dated 30.05.2016, against which, the present writ petition has been filed.

4.In the above circumstances and since some emergency has been expressed in the matter by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court is of the considered view that it would be suffice to direct the second respondent to issue a community certificate to the petitioner, if there is no impediment. Accordingly, the second respondent is directed to issue a community certificate to the petitioner on or before 12.06.2016 subject to the production of authenticated documents/certificates, if available with the petitioner. The third respondent is also directed to receive the application form that would be filed by the petitioner subject to the production of community certificate which would be issued in course of time.

5.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
