This petition has been filed to direct the second respondent to register an FIR based on the petitioner's complaint dated 04.07.2016 and investigate the same in accordance with law.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State.

3. When the matter was taken up for hearing, learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that on the complaint given by the petitioner, an FIR has been registered in Cr.No.211 of 2016 on 07.07.2016 for offences u/s 294(b), 323 IPC and Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 2002.
