O R D E R

The writ petitioner has been filed seeking direction to the respondent to pass orders on the mercy petition submitted by the petitioner dated 06.02.2017 to set aside the punishment imposed on the petitioner in PR No.38/2013 dated 18.02.2014 based on the acquittal in the criminal case in STC No.68/2015 dated 30.12.2016 on the file of the District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate, Pallipattu.

2. Considering the limited prayer made by the petitioner to dispose of the mercy petition filed by him on 06.02.2017, without going into merits, this Court directs the respondent to consider the said mercy petition and dispose of the same on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the same to the petitioner. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Accordingly this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
