This Contempt Petition has been filed to punish the respondent for non-compliance of the order passed by this Court dated 25.01.2016 in W.P.No.9102 of 2014 thereby directing the respondent to consider the 1/3

representation of the petitioner, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the order.

2. It is seen from the records, the petitioner submitted representations as early as on 27.04.2005, 03.01.2005 and 18.11.2008, seeking issuance of pattta in respect of the property comprised in survey No.366/2B to an extent of 49 cents situated in Katpadi. Due to lapse of more than 13 years, the above said representations may not be available with the first respondent.

3. Therefore, the petitioner is directed to submit a fresh representation to the District Collector, Vellore, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of the same, the District Collector, Vellore is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and the counter parties, if any and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks thereafter.
