Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of mandamus directing the respondents to accept the petitioner candidature for the post graduation course in M.Tech. (Structural Engineering) for the academic year of 2015-2016 as the petitioner qualification is well within the prescribed qualification as per the prospects published and followed.

Seeking a direction to the respondents to accept the petitioner's candidature for the post graduation course in M.Tech. (Structural Engineering) for the academic year of 2015-2016 based on the qualification, the present Writ Petition has been filed. 2.Mr.V.Balamurugane, the learned counsel for the 1st respondent as well as Mr.A.Tamilvanan, the learned Government Advocate for the 2nd respondent submitted that as per the information bulletin 20152016, a candidate should have minimum qualification of B.E./B.Tech through regular course of study from an AICTE approved Institution or an examination of any University or authority accepted by the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
Pondicherry University as equivalent thereto. It is submitted that the Institution in which the petitioner completed the course, which is the basic qualification for M.Tech, is not one accepted by AICTE with its approval or by the Pondicherry University as equivalent thereto.
3.In view of the said factual position, this Court is not inclined to allow the Writ Petition as the qualification obtained by the petitioner to join M.Tech course does not have the approval of the authorities concerned.
4.In such view of the matter, the Writ Petition is dismissed. No costs.
