The present criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent-police to investigate the case in Crime No.3643 of 2015 on the file of the respondentpolice and file a final report within a stipulated time to be fixed by this Court.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that the petitioner lodged a complaint before the respondent police against one Renuka Devi, Dhanammal, Manivannan, Santhi and 30 rowdy elements for the alleged offence punishable under Sections 454 and 380 of I.P.C. and the same was registered in Crime No.3643 of 2015 on 25.09.2015. But, till date, final report was not filed. Hence, the petitioner has come up with the present petition. 3.I have heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

4.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the respondent-police is directed to investigate the case in Crime No.3643 of 2015 pending on his file and file a final report, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of four months, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
