Prayer: Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 4 to grant police protection to the petitioner to carry on its quarrying activities in the lands of an extent of 0.82.5 hectares in Survey No.1471/1, 0.90.5 hectares in S.No.147/2, 1.85.0 hectares in Survey No.148 part and 3.39.5 hectare in Survey No.161/1 totalling an extent of 6.97.5 hectares in Thenkaraikottai village, Pappireddiapatti Taluk, Dharmapuri District.

The Learned Counsel for the petitioner states that despite eight complaints, the respondent police has registered only one F.I.R and seven C.S.R's are still pending against the private respondents. However, the police is not giving adequate protection to their M/s.Shri Ponguru Blue Metal Mines quarry activities.
2. The Learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) for the respondents 1 to 4 states that adequate protection will be given to the petitioner Page No.2/5
herein in their quarry activities within the frame work of law and action will be taken against the persons who disturb their peaceful avocation.
3. The Learned Counsel for the respondents 6 & 7 states that they will not interfere in petitioner's quarry activities, provided, they shall carry on activities with proper license and permission.
4. Recording the undertaking given by the Learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) on behalf of the 4th respondent/Inspector of Police, this Writ Petition is disposed of with direction to act upon the representation given by the petitioner herein seeking protection and to take action against the person who disturb their lawful activities. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
