This Contempt Petition has been filed praying to punish the respondent for willful disobedience of the order of this Court in W.P.No.2694 of 2020, dated 05.02.2020.

2. Heard Ms.S.Suneetha, learned counsel for petitioner and Mrs.S.Mythreya Chandru, learned Special Government Pleader, appearing for the respondent.

3. This contempt petition was directed to be posted on 22.07.2024 and this Court directed the respondent to be present at the time of hearing. However, learned Special Government Pleader made a mention yesterday stating that the order passed by this Court has been complied with and requested the matter to be posted for hearing today. Accordingly, the matter was listed for hearing today.

4. When the matter was taken up for hearing, learned Special Government Pleader produced the proceedings of the Chief Educational Officer, Tiruvannamalai, dated 18.07.2024. On going through the same, it is clear that the services of the petitioner have now been regularized 2/4

with effect from 01.08.1997 subject to the result of the pending Special Leave Petition before the Apex Court.

5. In the light of the above order, the monetary benefits to which the petitioner is entitled to shall be paid within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. In the light of the compliance of the order passed by this Court, the personal appearance of the respondent that was insisted by this Court is dispensed with and this contempt petition is closed. Consequently, sub-application is closed.
