The instant writ petition has been filed with a prayer for issuing a mandamus to direct the respondents to reinstate the petitioner in service as conductor in the respondents Corporation, with all service and monetary benefits based on the representation of the petitioner dated 03.02.2025.
2. Heard the learned counsel for both sides and perused the materials available on record.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that there was a wordy quarrel with the Police Constable, and subsequently, a First Information Report was registered in Crime No. 586 of 2024. Thereafter, the petitioner was remanded to judicial custody. He further submitted that after the petitioner was released on bail, when he approached the respondents to continue his work, they neither passed any order to suspend the petitioner nor permitted him to join his work. In this connection, the petitioner sent a representation dated 03.02.2025, which is pending with the respondents. 2/4
4. At this juncture, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents would fairly submit that they will consider the petitioner's representation within a reasonable time.
5. In view of the above submission, without going to the merits of this Writ Petition, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 03.02.2025, and pass orders on its own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
