Prayer: The writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondents to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 11.11.2017 with regard to grant of license for running Petty shop within stipulated time as fixed by this Court.

2.The petitioner has made a representation dated 11.11.2017, seeking permission with regard to grant of license for running petty shop at Doshi Apartment Gate, No.339, K.H.Road, Ayanavaram, Chennai 600 023 and the same was acknowledged on 16.11.2017.

3. Though, the representation was made by the petitioner on 11.11.2017, till date, the respondents have not taken any steps to allot the same or dispose the representation to the petitioner. Hence, the petitioner has filed the present petition for mandamus, to issue a direction to the respondents to pass orders based on the representation dated 11.11.2017. 4.Heard the submissions of Mr.Sampath Kumar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.T.C.Gopalakrishnan, standing counsel who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. 6.In view of the limited prayer sought by the petitioner, this Court is inclined to issue a direction to the respondents 1 & 2 to consider the representation dated 11.11.2017 on merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
