Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a writ of mandamus, to direct the 2nd respondent to accord necessary permission so as to hold a cultural program namely "Adal Padal Kalai Nigaltchi' which is scheduled to be taken place on 08.06.2016 in connection with the festival occasion of Sri Thalaikondamman Thirukkoil at Kurinjeri, Udumalpet Taluk, Tiruppur District by taking into consideration of the petitioner's representation dated 24.05.2016. By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

The petitioner claims to be the President of the Organizing Committee of the Temple Festival of Sri Thalaikondamman Thirukkoil, situate at Kurinjineri Village, Udumalpet Taluk, Tiruppur District. He submitted a representation/application dated 24.05.2016 to the 2nd respondent, seeking permission to conduct a cultural program on 08.06.2016, in connection with the temple festival, which includes song and dance programme and since, he has not been favoured with any kind of response, came forward to file this writ petition. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, on instructions, would submit that in the event of permission being granted to conduct the song and dance programme, there will not be any law, order or communal problem and no vulgarity or obscenity will be there and hence, prays for appropriate orders. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

This Court heard the submissions of Mr.R.Vijayakumar, learned Additional Government Pleader, who accepts notice for the respondent.

This Court, taking into consideration the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner and without going into the merits of the application/representation, directs the 2nd respondent to consider the application/representation dated 30.05.2016, in accordance with law and pass orders by 07.06.2016 and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner forthwith.

The writ petition is disposed of, accordingly. No costs.
