ORDER

This petition has been filed by the petitioner to quash the First Information Report in Crime No.06/2016/Ac/HQ on the file of the Inspector of Police, Vigilance and Anti Corruption, Chennai - 16.

2. It s seen that the petitioner was alleged to have demanded and accepted a sum of Rs.10,000/- as illegal gratification to do the needful to the de-facto complainant. Based on the trap laid by the investigation officer, the tainted money was seized from the petitioner and other accused. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3. Having regard to the nature of the allegations made against the petitioner, it is premature that at this stage this Court cannot to go into the merits or otherwise of the evidence made available against the petitioner to quash the proceedings pending against him since the case is in the investigation stage. Accordingly, this Petition is dismissed. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
