O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed seeking for issuance of a writ of mandamus to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to give Police Protection to the petitioner's life by considering the representation of the petitioner dated 03.04.2025 in accordance with law.

2. According the petitioner, her husband is the absolute owner of the property (Natham House) bearing S.No.125/20, measuring an extent of 00.58 sq.mt, situated at East Street, Thittagudi, Cuddalore District, The said house is 80 year old house and hence, they decided to demolish the same and also to demolish major portion of the house, except one side wall. Since the respondents 3 to 5 herein, who are the neighbours of the petitioner are creating disturbance and also law and problem to demolish the said wall and also went to the extent of giving life threat and also assaulted her and Pg.Nos.2/5

criminally intimidated her, a case in Crime No.74 of 2025 was registered against them. Hence, the petitioner made a representation dated 03.04.2025 to the first respondent to provide police protection. Since there is no response from the respondent-Police, the present writ petition has been filed by the petitioner.

3. When the matter was taken up for hearing on 04.06.2025, this Court directed the respondents-Police to secure the respondents 3 to 5 and produce before this Court.

4. There is no representation for the petitioner.

5. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, respondents 3 to 5 have appeared before this Court and submitted that they have not given any disturbance or life threat to the petitioner and also submitted that they have obtained anticipatory bail. They have also stated that they will not disturb the petitioner.

6. Recording the same, the Writ Petition is closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
