The petitioner seeks for a Mandamus directing the first respondent herein to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 22.08.2017 and consequently issue a New 3 HP Electricity Connection to the petitioner's open well situated in Survey No.240/5 at Nolambur Village to the petitioner herein within a period fixed by this Court.

2. The grievance of the petitioner is that the said representation seeking to consider his application dated 05.07.2008 for new electricity connection to his open well, has not been considered by the respondents so far. This Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, as it is for the respondents to consider and decide. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of, by directing the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 22.08.2017 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner. Such exercise shall be done by the respondents within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. 18.12.2017 Speaking/Non Speaking Index : Yes/No vri To
