..Respondents Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider the representation dated 05.03.2026 and to issue the patta in the name of the petitioners in respect of the lands comprised in Survey No.555 of Ayaranapalli Village, Shoolagiri Taluk, Krishnagiri District of an extent of Hectares 1.00.5 (or) 2.49 acres within such time frame as may be fixed by this Court.

ORDER

W.M.P.No.16058 of 2026 filed seeking permission to the petitioners to join together and file a single writ petition is ordered on payment of separate court fee.

2. This writ petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the third respondent to transfer the patta in the name of the petitioners for the property more fully disclosed in the prayer to this writ petition.

3. The mother of the petitioners had executed a settlement deed in favour of the petitioners. Pursuant to the same, the petitioners seek for transfer of patta in their names. The petitioners had given a representation on 05.03.2026 to the third respondent for the aforesaid purpose. Since the same has not been considered till date, the petitioners have filed this writ petition.

4. Mr.D.Ravichander, learned Special Government Pleader, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

5. At the outset, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents would submit that the petitioners will have to submit an online application with the third respondent seeking for transfer of patta and only then, the third respondent will be in a position to consider the petitioners' application seeking for transfer of patta in their names.

6. Learned counsel for the petitioners, on instructions, would submit that the petitioners are willing to submit a fresh online application with the third respondent seeking for transfer of patta.

7. No prejudice would be caused to the respondents if the petitioners' application seeking for transfer of patta is considered on merits and in accordance with law after giving due consideration to the supporting documents produced by the petitioners within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioners' application.

8. For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the petitioners to submit a fresh online application with the third respondent seeking for transfer of patta in their names for the property more fully disclosed in the prayer to this writ petition within a period of two (2) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of the said online application from the petitioners, the third respondent, after giving due consideration to the supporting documents
