This Writ Petition has been filed in the nature of a Mandamus, seeking a direction against the respondents to pay the amount of Rs.18,500/- payable towards Retirement Benefits Scheme Recovery (RBSR) amount to the petitioners along with 12% interest per annum from the date of retirement.

2.In the affidavit filed in support of the writ petition, it is contended that the petitioners had been employed under the respondent Transport Corporation and had retired on attaining the age of superannuation. It had been stated that though the retirement benefits had been paid to the petitioners, the Retirement Benefits Scheme Recovery (RBSR) amount of Rs.18,500/- have not been paid. 3.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Standing Counsel for the respondents. 2/4

4.A direction is therefore issued to the respondents to examine the Service Registers of the petitioners and pay the eligible amount together with interest at the rate of 6% per annum from the date of retirement until the actual date of disbursement. The entire exercise shall be completed within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
