Respondents Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to re-fix the Gudeline value of the petitioners property by changing the land classification from Residential Class I Type II to Agricultural Land situated in Keezhapandi Revenue Village, Thiruthuraipoondi Taluk, Thiruvarur District, comprised in S.Nos.11/1A and 11/1B, by 1/4

considering the petitioner's representation dated 29.06.2021 and 13.11.2024 sent to the respondents, within the time frame fixed by this Court.

O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 29.06.2021 wherein the petitioner has sought for changing the land classification from 'Residential Class I Type II' to 'Agricultural Land' and to re-fix the guideline value.

2. Heard Mr.S.Senthil, learned counsel for petitioner and Mr.K.Karthick Jagannath, learned Government Advocate appearing for respondents.

3. When the matter was taken up for hearing, learned Government Advocate, on instructions from the third respondent, submitted that the representation made by the petitioner is pending and that it has to be valued as per the procedure provided under Section 472/4

AA of the Stamp Act read along with the rules and it will take some time since it has to be referred by the District Collector and thereafter to the said Committee and ultimately, the value has to be fixed.

4. In the light of the above submission, there shall be a direction to the respondents to pass final orders within a period of four

(4) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
