ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by D.KRISHNAKUMAR, J.) The writ petition has been filed for a mandamus, directing the first respondent to take immediate action to remove the illegal constructions, put up by the second respondent, on the southern side of the building bearing Door No.241, Peters Road, (Northern side of Bo.2, Padmavthiar Road), Gopalapuram, Chennai-600 086, by considering the complaint, dated 14.02.2023, sent by the petitioner to the first respondent.

2. When the matter came up for hearing on 01.06.2023, learned Standing Counsel for the Corporation sought time for getting instructions and to file a status report before this Court.

3. Today, a status report has been filed by the respondent Greater Chennai Corporation, wherein in paragraph No.5, it is stated that the second respondent herein has removed the structures put up on the setback area of his building at Door No.241, Peters Road, (Northern side of No.2, Padmavthiar Road), Gopalapuram, Chennai2/4

600 086. The photographs taken at the time of demolition has also been enclosed in the report.

4. Learned counsel for petitioner has also not contradicted the statement made in the status report, filed by the Greater Chennai Corporation.

5. Recording the aforesaid statements, the writ petition stands closed. There will be no order as to costs. Consequently, W.M.P.No.14935 of 2023, is closed.
