Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a writ of Habeas Corpus calling for the records relating to the detention order in Memo No.255/BCDFGISSSV/2020 dated 30.07.2020 passed by the 2nd respondent under the Tamilnadu Act 14 of 1982 and set aside the same and direct the respondents to produce the petitioner's brother Suresh @ Billa, Son of Balu, aged about 23 years the detenu now confined in Central Prison, Puzhal, Chennai before this Court and set the petitioner's brother Suresh @ Billa, S/o.Balu aged about 23 years the detenu herein at liberty. ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by V.SIVAGNANAM, J.] The petitioner challenges the impugned order of detention in Memo No.255/BCDFGISSSV/2020 dated 30.07.2020 detaining his brother as "Goonda", as contemplated under Section 2(f) of the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor reports that the order of detention passed against the detenu has been revoked by the Government by its order in G.O.Rt.No.3974 Home, Prohibition and Excise (XIII) Department, dated 17.09.2020 and he has also produced a copy of the Government Order. Recording the same, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed.
