(Crime No.76 of 2021) PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, to direct the respondent herein namely Inspector of Police, Udayarpalayam Police Station, Ariyalur District to complete the investigation and file a final report in Crime No.76 of 2021 before the concerned Court within the time stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent police to complete the investigation in Crime No.76 of 2021 and to file a final report within a stipulated time frame.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing on behalf of the respondent Police.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that though the respondent Police has registered a case in the above said crime number on 23.01.2021, no final report is filed till date.

4.The learned Government Advocate (crl.side) appearing for the respondent Police would submit that the respondent police may be permitted to file a final report within a period of six months.

5.In view of the above, the respondent police is directed to either file a final report or closure report, as the case may be, within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order under due intimation to the defacto complainant.

6.With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
