.. Respondents This case came up for settlement before the National Lok Adalat. Both parties are present. The learned counsel for the appellants Ms.Ramya V. Rao, and Mr.M.B.Gopalan, representative of the 2nd respondent are present. After mutual discussion, negotiation, mediation and conciliation between both parties, they arrived at a compromise to settle the matter as follows:

TERMS OF SETTLEMENT The appellants and their counsel as well as the representative of the 2nd respondent were present. The Lok Adalat entered upon Mediation and Conciliation with the parties present before it.

2. The Tribunal awarded a sum of Rs.9,44,000/- towards compensation and interest thereon at the rate of 7.5% per annum from the date of the petition till the date of payment.

3. Now the 2nd respondent/Insurance Company has agreed to pay a sum of Rs.2,50,000/- (Rupees Two Lakhs and Fifty Thousand only) in full quit, over and above a sum of Rs.11,62,338/- deposited before the Tribunal in terms of the order passed by the Tribunal. The appellants also agreed to receive a sum of Rs.2,50,000/- in full quit, in addition to the above deposit towards compensation made by the 2nd respondent before the Tribunal.

4. In the above facts and circumstances, the Civil Miscellaneous Appeal stands disposed of with a direction to the 2nd respondent to deposit as agreed a sum of Rs.2,50,000/- in full quit, in addition to a sum of Rs.11,62,338 already

deposited as directed by the Tribunal within a period of three (3) months from the date of receipt of copy of this order. The appellants are entitled to withdraw the amount deposited by the 2nd respondent towards compensation. T.Sarangapani/1st Appellant S.Bakkiyalakshmi Counsel for the Appellant.
