This contempt petition is filed alleging noncompliance of the order passed by this Court on 13.12.2022 in W.P.No.28606 of 2022.

2. This Contempt Petition was listed along with W.P.No.13301 of 2023 and the said writ petition was de-linked today.

3. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, a status report was filed by the Respondent/Corporation, wherein, at paragraph 16, it is stated as follows:

"16. I respectfully submit that since the petitioner did not attended the personal hearing on 25.08.2023, it was decided to give another opportunity to the petitioner to appear in person and to place his grievance on 01.09.2023. I further submit that after submission of his grievance further action will be taken."

4. The learned counsel appearing for the Petitioner submitted that since the petitioner has gone to the U.S., he could not attend the personal hearing on 25.08.2023. He further submitted that the Petitioner will be back only during the 1st week of October 2023.

Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel appearing on either side, more so, the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner will be returning to India only during the 1st week of October 2023, the possibility of the petitioner attending the personal hearing is ruled out. However, it is open to the petitioner's representative to attend the personal hearing on 01.09.2023 at 11.00 A.M. The Petitioner must understand that the Commissioner is having umpteen works to do and the Petitioner's case is not the only case for the Commissioner to spend his valuable time. Be it noted, at the specified time and date, it is for the parties to appear and make submissions.
