The present petition has been filed to direct the respondent to register a case based on the complaint of the petitioner dated 07.06.2015.
2. The petitioner herein is a resident of Veppur Village and he became acquainted with one Alagesan, who represented himself that he is working for Kerala State and he could secure a job at Qatar for one Rengasamy, who is belonging to native place of the petitioner and hence, by believing the words of the said Alagesan, the petitioner initially paid a sum of Rs.50,000/- and later paid another sum of Rs.50,000/-. But, the said Alagesan did not secure job as assured by him. When the petitioner enquired with said Alagesan, he gave evasive answer. Hence, the petitioner lodged a complaint before the respondent police on 07.06.2015. Since, no action was taken by the respondent police till date, the petitioner came forward to file this petition.
3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the said Alagesan has collected a sum of Rs.3,75,000/- from 6 persons and the petitioner himself submitted a letter to the Inspector of Police, Veppur Police Station stating that the said Alagesdan returned the Passport to him and assured him that he would return the amount collected from the petitioner. The Additional Public Prosecutor has also produced a copy of the letter.
5. Since the petitioner himself has given the letter to the respondent withdrawing the complaint, nothing survives for adjudication in this petition. Hence, recording the submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this petition is closed.
