ORDER

By consent of learned counsel on both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The present writ petition is filed praying for a mandamus to direct the 1st and 2nd respondent to consider the petitioners representation dated 17.02.2025 and to issue patta in the joint of names of the petitioner, her son and daughter in respect of the plots bearing Nos. 47 and 48, totally measuring an extent of 3876 sq.ft comprised in survey number 2/9, 2/19, 2/20, 1/2M, 1/2G, 2/18, 2/21, Vengaivasal Village, Prabakaran Nagar, Saidapet Taluk, Chengalpattu District.

It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner submitted a representation on 17.02.2025 before the 2nd respondent to issue patta in the joint of names of the petitioner, her son and daughter in respect of the subject property. The petitioner had also submitted an application on 24.02.2025 before the 1st respondent regarding the same issue. However, the said 2/5

representations were not considered so far by the 1st and 2nd respondent. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner has come before this Court.

At the outset, it is submitted by the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for respondents that the representation dated 17.02.2025 made by the petitioners would be considered and appropriate orders would be passed within a time frame fixed by this Court, which was agreed to by the learned counsel for petitioner.

5. In view of the same, taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited relief sought for in this Writ Petition, there shall be a direction to the 2nd respondent, to consider the representation dated 17.02.2025 made by the petitioner on its own merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, after affording reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and any other interested parties/rival claimants, within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any views with regard to the merits of the representation and it is open to the concerned respondent to consider the representation on its own merits and in accordance with law. 3/5
