Mr.R.Govindasamy, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondent. By consent of the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
2. Heard both sides.
3. The petitioner seeks for a mandamus directing the respondent to receive the petitioner's application Form CCPA dated 29.01.2018 together with prescribed fees and grant the Share Autorickshaw Permit with Seating Capacity 5+1 to operate https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
the vehicle throughout the Chennai City and to consider the same.
4. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that though the petitioner's application for share autorickshaw permit is pending, the same has not yet been considered in spite of the Government of Tamil Nadu issuing directions that each district head quarters Regional Transport Office can grant 50 permits.
5. The learned Special Government Pleader for the respondent submits that the respondent may be directed to consider the application of the petitioner on merits and in accordance with law.
6. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of, with a direction to the respondent to receive the application of the petitioner dated 29.01.2018, consider the same and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
